1. Purpose

These Terms govern the use of ScoreCue (the “App”), a sheet music app provided by Astra Craft (the “Developer”), and set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Developer and each user.

Business information

2. Definitions

1. App — the ScoreCue application distributed for Android and iOS/iPadOS, together with its associated server functions.
2. User — a person who installs and uses the App.
3. Account — the user identity created or linked through Google or Apple sign-in.
4. Timings — the bar and page turn positions a user creates for a piece.
5. Tempo sync — turning pages automatically according to timings, or following another device’s position during an ensemble session.
6. Ensemble — devices connected over the same local network (Wi-Fi) or Bluetooth following the same position together.
7. Band — a group in the App’s community feature, including its roster, events, announcements, and shared setlists.
8. Paid entitlement — the rights granted to a user’s account through purchase. Both products (Pro Lifetime and Pro Yearly) grant the same scope, which covers all of:
   • on-device features: unlimited tempo sync, A-B loop, annotated PDF export
   • unlimited ensemble session time
   • creating and running a band (posting events and announcements)

3. Publication and Changes to These Terms

1. These Terms take effect when published on this page.
2. The Developer may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. Amendments are published on this page together with their effective date. Changes unfavorable to users are published at least 7 days in advance, or 30 days in advance for material changes.
3. Continuing to use the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance. A user who does not accept may stop using the App and delete their account.

4. Accounts

1. Viewing scores, annotating, the metronome, and joining ensemble sessions can be used without signing in. Opening an ensemble session requires sign-in (Article 5).
2. An account is required for: purchasing or restoring paid entitlements, using paid features, and the community (band) features. Because the server must be able to verify entitlements, paid features do not unlock while signed out.
3. Paid entitlements are granted to the account, with no limit on the number of devices signed in with it. A purchase made on either Android or iOS unlocks the App on both for the same account.
4. Users are responsible for managing their own account credentials and may not lend, transfer, or sell an account to a third party.
5. Users may delete their account and their server-stored data at any time from the App’s settings screen. The scope of deletion follows the Privacy Policy.
6. Persons under the age of 14 may not create an account. Features usable without an account are not subject to this restriction.

5. Services Provided

1. Provided free of charge:
   • Viewing scores, annotating (drawing and saving), the metronome
   • Creating and saving timings (no limit on the number)
   • Creating ensemble sessions — no limit on count for signed-in free users
   • Joining a band; viewing rosters, events, announcements, and shared setlists; responding to events; participating in availability polls
   • Tempo sync playback for 3 pieces (regardless of band membership)
2. Requires a paid entitlement:
   • Unlimited tempo sync playback, A-B loop, annotated PDF export (Pro entitlement)
   • Unlimited ensemble session time, and creating and running a band
3. Opening an ensemble session requires sign-in. Session time is provided as follows.
   • Free users: a continuous 30-minute window from the first session start each day, whether hosting or joining
   • Holders of a paid entitlement (Lifetime and Yearly alike): no time limit
   • Leaving or disconnecting does not pause or reset the free 30-minute window.
   • Within a band, any member may start a band ensemble as long as the band’s owner holds a paid entitlement. If the owner’s entitlement expires, starting a band ensemble is restricted.
4. A free playback slot is taken when playback of a piece begins, and a piece that holds a slot may be played any number of times. A slot that has been taken cannot be swapped to another piece. Deleting the score returns its slot.
5. The Developer may change the composition of the service and the boundary between free and paid features. Changes unfavorable to users are published in advance under Article 3.

6. Paid Services and Payment

The App offers the following products. Prices are those shown on the App’s purchase screen and in each store.

1. All payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The Developer does not collect or store payment credentials such as card numbers.
2. Both products unlock the same scope. What the user chooses is a payment method rather than a feature set, and unlimited ensemble time and band tools are included in the Lifetime product with no time limit. Joining a band requires no purchase (Articles 5 and 8).
3. The Pro Yearly subscription includes a 2-week free trial. The trial is offered once per store account and bills automatically when it ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you are not charged.
4. The Developer may offer a discounted first billing period for a limited time. Any such discount applies to that period only and renewals are charged at the regular price; whether it applies, and the amount, are shown on the purchase screen.
5. Buying Pro Lifetime while a Pro Yearly subscription is active does not cancel that subscription, because the stores do not support moving from a subscription to a one-time purchase. The App asks whether to turn off auto-renewal immediately after the Lifetime purchase; if the user does not choose to, the subscription keeps renewing. The remaining subscription period stays usable.
6. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled, and renewal is charged shortly before the end of the period in accordance with store policy.
7. Cancellation and refunds follow the Payment & Refund Policy.

7. User Obligations and Score Copyright

1. The App does not supply sheet music content. It is a tool for viewing files, such as PDFs, that the user already holds.
2. The user is responsible for holding the necessary rights to any file, title, or material they import into the App or share within a band. All legal responsibility arising from reproducing or distributing sheet music without the copyright holder’s permission rests with that user.
3. Users must not:
   • Reverse engineer, copy, or modify the App, or circumvent the verification of paid entitlements
   • Impersonate another user’s account or obtain entitlements by improper means
   • Place excessive load on the servers or otherwise interfere with normal operation of the service
   • Use the community features to infringe the rights of others or to post or share material that violates applicable law
4. Where a user materially breaches this Article, the Developer may restrict use of the relevant features after prior notice, or immediately with notice afterwards in urgent cases.

8. Community and Bands

1. The user who creates a band (its owner) is responsible for operating that band’s roster, events, announcements, and shared setlists.
2. Joining a band makes your display name and activity (event responses, poll votes, announcements you post, and similar) visible to the other members of that band. The exact scope is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Joining a band and viewing or responding within it is free and requires no entitlement.
4. If a band owner’s paid entitlement expires (for example, once a cancelled Yearly subscription’s paid period has run out), the band’s operating features and the ability to start a band ensemble are restricted, but band data already stored is not deleted arbitrarily, as provided in Article 9. It is restored immediately if the owner purchases again. A Lifetime holder’s entitlement does not expire.

9. Retention of User Data

1. Score lists, annotations, timing data, and band data created by a user are not deleted when a paid entitlement is absent or has expired. Some features may lock, but the data remains and becomes available again immediately upon purchase.
2. Where a user requests account deletion or uninstalls the App, data is handled according to its storage location as set out in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to and Suspension of the Service

1. The Developer may change or discontinue all or part of the service for reasons of improvement, technical necessity, or operations.
2. If the service is discontinued in full, the Developer will give notice at least 30 days in advance on this site and in the App, and will advise on remedies for subscriptions with remaining paid time to the extent store policy permits.
3. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or outages at stores or cloud providers.

11. Intellectual Property

Rights in the App and in the software, design, and trademarks it contains belong to the Developer or the respective rights holders. Open source components included in the App are governed by their respective licenses, as listed in the Open Source Notices. Rights in user data such as annotations and timings created with the App belong to the user.

12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

1. The App is a performance aid. The Developer does not warrant that it will operate without error in every environment or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
2. The Developer is not responsible for:
   • Failures caused by the user’s device, operating system, or network environment
   • Consequences of outages or policy changes at third parties such as stores and cloud providers
   • Damage arising from a user’s infringement of copyright or other rights of third parties
   • Data loss where the user did not keep separate backups
3. Absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, the Developer’s liability for damages is limited to the amount the user paid for the relevant product during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
4. This Article does not limit any rights granted to users by applicable law.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. The Developer and the user will seek to resolve any dispute in good faith. Failing agreement, either party may bring suit before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
